The stages of the method's evolution are defined and characterized in their connection with the development of public self-consciousness. Various factors in the formation of realism are revealed, determined both by the influence of global trends and by Russian cultural and historical conditions. The paper analyzes the role and significance of multinational unity, which contributed to the creation of a unique artistic and aesthetic process, within which a new, revolutionary model of the realistic method emerges and develops.

GENRE AND STYLISTIC EMBODIMENT OF SPIRITUAL AND MORAL ISSUES IN THE "SHORT PROSE" OF V. V. SYTNIK

The works of V. V. Sytnik provide an idea of the tendencies of preservation and renewal of genre traditions of realistic lyrical-psychological short story in modern Russian literature. In a number of recent works of “short prose”, united by the theme of Lent, the writer addresses topical social and moral problems, artistically implemented in the genre-stylistic system of a special type of story, marked by the features of a “studio” or “studio type” (a term of the classic writer I. S. Turgenev). The poetics of V. V. Sytnik's “short prose” is considered as the art of artistic synthesis – both genus-genre and genre-species. It is proved that in the analyzed works the role of the author's image is maximally functional, that all aspects of artistry are conditioned by the philosophical depth of the author's reflection and thought, which is embodied in the figurative fabric of the “studio” stories. This defines the formulation of “ultimate questions” in the depiction of life's contradictions, the specificity of psychologism and narrative, the dominance of a personal narrative situation, stylistic forms of expression of the author's moral and aesthetic position. The conclusion is substantiated that the heroes of V. V. Sytnik are measured by the degree of their humanism, and the works themselves are optimistic in affirming faith in the meaning of life, in Man, in his spiritual and moral improvement.

IMAGES-SYMBOLS IN THE STORIES BY V. RASPUTIN (BASED ON THE STORY “FAREWELL TO MATYORA”)

The article considers the images-symbols in the story by V. Rasputin "Farewell to Matyora”. The analysis focuses on meaning-generating symbols: the image of the earth; the island as a concentration of metaphysical power; Matyora as a bridge between the real and imaginary worlds; autumn; The Master as the guardian of the common Home – Matyora; the royal larch tree; the birch tree as a realization of the "innocent guilty" motif; water; river; fire; and others. The images-symbols are analyzed in the context of their mythopoetic and allegorical content. As a result, it is revealed that the studied images embody various folk, pagan and Christian beliefs and ideals that have been formed over the centuries and determined the moral and cultural image of the Russian people; In terms of thematic concerns, the story "Farewell to Matyora" presents the motif of the tragic inevitability of rural patriarchal idyll's demise, which is revealed through a system of conceptual symbols largely created by the author himself.

THE CONCEPTUALIZATION OF NUTRITION IN ARABIC AND RUSSIAN PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS: COMPARATIVE ASPECT

The article presents a comparative analysis of phraseological units in Russian and Arabic languages, focusing on the semantics of stable linguistic units. The results of the analysis demonstrate that the comparison of the semantics of linguistic units representing features of national linguocultures is appropriate for studying the specifics of the national worldview. The research shows that phraseological units in both Russian and Arabic languages preserve national-cultural semantics reflected in culture-specific concepts, or non-equivalent vocabulary, which requires commentary during translation. The study notes that phraseological units in Russian or Arabic that denote traditions, dishes, eating behaviors, etc., create comprehension challenges for speakers of other cultures. The research clarifies the meaning of phraseological units and their cultural context, which determine universal features and national-cultural specificity. Comparative analysis of the phraseological worldview of Russian and Arabic language speakers reveals certain similarities in the semantics of stable units. The study finds that phraseological units represent certain character traits, human behaviors, and quality of life in both languages. The research highlights the figurative nature of Arabic and Russian stable expressions with the conceptual semantics of “Nutrition”.

METAPHORICAL AND PHRASEOLOGICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE ELEMENT OF FIRE IN NEWS TEXTS

The paper examines metaphorical and phraseological representations of the element of fire in modern news texts in Russian, English and Adyghe based on the news subcorpora of the languages involved. The study clarifies the universal characteristics of the concept “fire”, revealing only partial parallelism in the meanings of stable metaphors and phraseological units with this component. It is established that each language verbalizes the element of fire in its own way due to the unique cultural and historical experience, national character, and living conditions of the ethnic group. It is concluded that metaphorical and phraseological units representing the concept of fire in news texts perform attractive, characterizing, pictorial, and explanatory functions, serve as a reflection of the native speaker`s linguistic worldview, and also have a pragmatic potential, seeking to evoke an appropriate reaction in the reader.
