SPATIAL EFFECTS IN THE POETRY OF VLADIMIR BENEDIKTOV

This article discusses the variability of narrative optics as a specific property of V. Benediktov's poetry. It analyzes the means of conveying spatial expansion within the author's chronotope. The uniqueness of this study is defined by the underexplored issue of the spatial positioning of the lyrical "I," Benediktov's authorial poetics, and his innovative chronotopes within the romantic paradigm.

ARTISTIC INTERPRETATION OF THE THEME OF CHILD PERSONALITY FORMATION IN N. ABGARYAN'S TRILOGY «ALL ABOUT MANYUNYA»

This paper examines the distinctive features of the artistic reflection of the process of forming the spiritual and moral world of images in the autobiographical trilogy by Narine Abgaryan, «All About Manyunya», which narrates the life and friendship of two Armenian girls, Narine and Manyunya. The theme of personality development is conceptualized as a crucial element through which the images of the main characters are revealed. An analysis is undertaken of the methods and techniques used to shape the character representation that reflects the identity of the Armenian people. The concept of «home» is considered as a topos, a stable image through which the significance of the motivation for upbringing is established in portraying the characters' images. The typological connections of the theme of upbringing in the examined trilogy with the Russian classical tradition are identified, determined by a broad perspective on the issue at hand and its systemic illumination.

FORMS OF THE COMIC IN A. V. SUKHOVO-KOBYLIN'S TRILOGY «PICTURES OF THE PAST»

The article is devoted to the analysis of the forms of the comic in A.V. Sukhovo-Kobylin's trilogy «Pictures of the Past» («Krechinsky's Wedding», «The Case», «Tarelkin's Death»). Despite the traditional perception of the cycle as an example of the grotesque, Sukhovo-Kobylin's range of comic means is much wider and includes humor, irony, satire, and sarcasm. The analysis is based on the concept of M. S. Kagan, who considers the comic as a spectrum from a kind joke to scathing satire. The evolution of the ridiculous principle from secular comedy to phantasmagoria is revealed, in which the comic loses its harmlessness and becomes a way of ethical diagnosis of Russian society in the middle of the 19th century and anticipates the aesthetics of the theater of the absurd. At the same time, the grotesque as the most formal technique revealed by the third part of the trilogy is considered on lexical, stylistic and conceptual levels. The article emphasizes that laughter for Sukhovo-Kobylin is not only an artistic device, but also a way of allegorical utterance that allows one to comprehend and verbalize personal tragic experience.

FROM «FOREIGN LAND» TO «SPIRITUAL HOME»: THE TOPOLOGY OF EXILE IN THE LYRICAL DISCOURSE OF V. NABOKOV AND V. PERELESHIN

This article compares two versions of émigré existence and their reflection in the lyrical discourse of V. Nabokov and V. Pereleshin, representatives of the first wave of Russian emigration to the West and Far East. The motif of exile is analyzed through the prism of poetry's self-reflexivity, problems of national self-identity, and transcultural transformation. The structural-semiotic perspective reveals the ambivalent nature of nostalgia («anxiety of identity»): «the evil distance» / «the fresh wind of the distance», demonstrating the perception of the alien as one's own (and vice versa), and the fusion of nationally distinctive and exotic cultural principles and the realities of everyday life.

FRAME REPRESENTATION OF AXIOLOGICAL DOMINANTS IN RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH MOTIVATIONAL DISCOURSE

The article is dedicated to a comparative analysis of the frame representation of axiological dominants in Russian and English motivational discourse. Based on the material from motivational speeches by Russian and American speakers, the study identifies fundamental value concepts (SUCCESS, WORK, MONEY, OVERCOMING), reconstructs their frame structures, and defines the value characteristics of the examined concepts. The results obtained confirm the presence of both universal and culturally specific features in the linguistic representation of axiological dominants. It has been established that while there is a common macrostructure of frames, the concepts exhibit pronounced national and cultural specificity in the filling of slots, determined by differences in value orientations, moral traditions, and socio-pragmatic attitudes of Russian and American linguistic cultures.

METAPHORICAL MODELING OF THE IMAGE OF RUSSIA'S FUTURE IN MODERN MEDIA DISCOURSE

This article is dedicated to the study of the role of metaphor as a cognitive mechanism for the representation of ideological construction of the image of the future in contemporary Russian-language media discourse. It examines how the manipulative potential of metaphor is realized in the construction of the image of Russia's technological future. Based on analytical media texts, dominant metaphorical models representing the image of a technologically sovereign future for Russia are identified and systematized. The question of linguistic formation of the «desired» or "threatening" future is analyzed. It is noted that metaphor serves as a tool for persuasion, social modeling, and legitimization of specific political and economic strategies, shaping value orientations among the mass audience.

LACUNARITY IN A LITERARY TEXT: EXPLICIT AND IMPLICIT ASPECTS

The article examines the phenomenon of lacunarity as a fundamental principle of the organization of a literary text, ensuring its semantic depth and aesthetic value. Two interrelated aspects of lacunarity are analyzed: the explicit one, associated with structural gaps in the narrative (compositional breaks, dialogical pauses, temporal jumps, syntactic ellipses), and the implicit one, responsible for generating hidden meanings (psychological, ideological, philosophical, and cultural-axiological overtones). Based on the novel by U. Thackeray «Vanity Fair» it demonstrates that the interaction of the expressed and the unexpressed activates the reader's perception, turning reading into a process of co-creation. It is proved that lacunarity is not an accidental element, but a strictly organized system that increases the interpretative potential of the text and ensures its ambiguity.

THE CITY AS AN ARTISTIC MODEL OF THE SOCIAL AND MORAL WORLD IN ENGLISH, RUSSIAN, AND ADYGHE PROSE OF THE 19TH-20TH CENTURIES (CHARLES DICKENS, FYODOR DOSTOEVSKY, TEMBOT KERASHEV)

The article examines the city as an artistic model of the social and moral world in English, Russian, and Adyghe prose of the 19th–20th centuries. Urban space is analyzed not as a neutral background of the narrative, but as a structure-forming element of the artistic world that determines the nature of conflicts, the system of characters, and the direction of the author’s evaluation of reality. It is shown that in the English literary tradition the city functions primarily as a socio-institutional model of unfreedom; in the Russian tradition, as an existential and moral space of the individual’s inner crisis; while in Adyghe prose the city is conceptualized as a factor of cultural and anthropological rupture that destroys the traditional system of values.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF TRANSLATIONS OF RAY BRADBURY’S SHORT STORY «THE GREEN MORNING»

This article is dedicated to the comparative study of translations of Ray Bradbury's short story "Green Morning" with regard to the interpretation of hidden biblical allusions, color adjectives that shape the worldview within the text, as well as the similarities and differences in content, vocabulary, grammar, and the assessment of translation quality and applied translation strategies. Based on the translations by L. L. Zhdanov and Z. A. Bobyr, it has been revealed that Lev Zhdanov effectively conveys the ideological content and emotional tone of the work. The findings confirm that Lev Lvovich Zhdanov more accurately transmits the hidden biblical allusions in accordance with the author's intent, enriching the text and giving it a multilayered quality. It has been established that the color imagery remains identical to the original, with an emphasis on its philosophical aspect. In Z. Bobyr's interpretation, the emotional component prevails, and grammatically, her translations are closer to the original author's style. L. Zhdanov employs grammatical transformations, where passive constructions create a sense of distance.

CONTEMPORARY MUSICAL TERMINOLOGY AS A REFLECTION OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE LINGUISTICS

This article analyzes the influence of musical terminology on the development of creative linguistics, addressing issues related to stylistics, metaphors, neologisms, and the expressive means of linguistic play. It is noted that this topic is particularly relevant in contemporary times, as musical terminology serves as an essential tool for understanding among representatives of the musical environment. The study explores musical terminology as a rapidly evolving system: new terms emerge in connection with digitalization and globalization, some slang and jargon words gradually transform into established terms, and artists create neologisms when developing original performance techniques and personal brands. It has been established that an interdisciplinary approach to studying this issue provides vast opportunities for future research, such as the creation of new glossaries and databases related to contemporary musical terminology and the development of new music software. Modern musical technology plays a significant role in the advancement of creative linguistics, as it serves both as a subject and an object of study.

CONCEPTUALIZATION AS A WAY OF FORMING RUSSIAN AND ARABIC LANGUAGE PICTURES OF THE WORLD

The article examines the cognitive features of forming a linguistic worldview, focusing on the concept of «Family» as a key meaning in Russian and Arabic linguistic cultures, based on Russian and Arabic paremiological material. It is shown that to form the concept of «Family», it is not enough to study the conceptual layer of the concept; it is also necessary to describe the imagistic and value layers of the concept, according to Yu. S. Stepanov. This approach requires addressing the issue of describing the notions of «worldview», which is formed in the collective and individual consciousness of speakers of a given linguistic culture and finds its material embodiment in linguistic structures of various levels. Through the analysis of the semantics of Russian and Arabic proverbs and sayings, it is established that it is precisely the combination of cognitive features included in the concept of "Family" that forms the structure of the concept, taking into account the culture and traditions of the analyzed linguistic cultures. The material is valuable for the linguistic analysis of paremiological units and for the theory of cognitive linguistics.
