Concept of personality in postmodern literature

The article examines various scientific approaches to the analysis of the concept of person-ality in postmodern literature. The study aims to identify the most substantiated theories that can be used as the basis for the methodology of the concept analysis, which is currently under development. It helps to determine the novelty and relevance of the article. It is revealed that the con-cept of personality, which occurs in postmodern literature, differs significantly from the types of previous literary eras, first of all, in that the hero ceases to be the central figure of the work. Now, it is viewed from the perspectives of decentralization, self-alienation, out-of-placeness, dominance of irrational and physiological impulses.

“Language Games” in V. Pelevin's novel “Empire V”

The article examines the artistic discourse of literature and language on the example of V. Pelevin's novel «Empire V». The «metaphorical» novel «about vampires», written in the genre of fantasy, becomes a multi-layered artistic reflection on the nature and functions of language. For this purpose, the author uses images-symbols. The author explores not only the dominant nature of language, which affects the continuity and growth of neophyte writers like the main character, but also the individual psyche and personality of people. In the author's view, the artistic language represents a special kind of power that affects the politics and social structure of society, and representatives of the writers' guild - the secret «Fifth Empire» (one of the interpretations of the title of the novel «Empire V») control the race of people and form it at their discretion. Through the metaphorical and symbolic context, the article provides an opportunity to rethink the extraordinarily expanded and deepened ideas about literature and language as a result of the creative self-reflection of the writers themselves.

The authors focus on the role of the reader, who gets the opportunity to choose their own way of the development of the action. The features of the spatio-temporal organization of the text are considered. It is revealed that M. Pavic's text contains sever-al semantic levels. The study provides the analysis of a number of intertextual and allusive refer-ences that play an important role in understanding the text in the novel.

Confession as a leading stylistic feature in the lyric poetry of Chechen poet Khusein Satuev

The article examines the role of confession as a method in the little-studied lyric poetry of Chechen poet Khusein Satuev, whose work developed in the paradigm of the sixties. The author reveals structural and semantic meaning of basic concepts of archetypes of national consciousness and artistic techniques of realization of confessionary motives. Confession is interpreted as a way of reflecting the author’s consciousness, his feelings and thoughts, as an opportunity to expand the range of depiction of the inner world of the lyrical hero - the alter ego of the biographical au-thor. It is noted that the poet’s inner world and his psyche are inextricably linked with nature, which gives him the strength to withstand external threats. Kh. Satuev expresses all his feelings and emotions with the help of natural metaphors that are created in the spatial paradigm. A single semantic space in the lyrics of the Chechen poet is formed through the artistic device of personification, which is traced in national folk poetry. The identified motive complex confirms that confession is one of Kh. Satuev’s stable creative techniques.

Multilingualism in the linguistic space: typology and status

The article examines multilingualism and analyzes the scientific premises that characterize the typology and status of the term in human sciences. Particular attention is paid to sociolinguis-tic and psycholinguistic studies at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, which were identified as monolingual, and multilingualism was seen as a deviation from existing norms, which led to an insufficient analysis of the multilinguality of an individual’s linguistic consciousness in modern linguistics. We study the linguistic competencies of a recipient who has representative components of interference deviations in oral and written speech as a result of national-foreign language contact. The study provides a solution to the problem of multilingual communication and represents a study of trilingualism as the most common form of realization of multilingual competen-cies of the recipient.
