The nature of laughter in A. Tvardovsky's poem “Tyorkin in the Other World”
The article aims to identify the nature of laughter in the literary works of A.T. Tvardovsky based on the poem “Tyorkin in the Other World” as an example. In contrast to Tvardovsky's earlier work “A book about a soldier” (the poem “Vasily Tyorkin”) celebrated for its portrayal of the noble characteristics of a nation at war through the lens of folklore traditions, characterized by a life-affirming humor and laughter, the laughter in his later poem undergoes a transformation. It evolves into a satirical and sarcastic tool, serving to denounce the flaws of the "afterlife," symbolizing the bureaucracy and absurdity prevalent in the contemporary political regime. The article analyzes A. Tvardovsky’s poem from the point of view of the use of various laughter forms in it and determines their significance for reflecting the main idea of the work.

The theme of the Great Patriotic War in modern Russian prose: mysticism and fantasy
The paper considers various types of author’s strategies of the following transformations: references to prototext (“The tankman” or “The white tiger” by I. Boyashov, “The Russian character” by A. Tolstoy and “Moby-Dick” by H. Melville; “Pokrov-17” by A. Pelevin – typical “Bondarev’s” military prose), a fantasy game with the elements of Soviet myth about pioneer heroes (“First Squad” by A. Starobinets), reminiscences of well-known film-texts (“The Stalker” by A. Tarkovsky in Pelevin and Starobinets` anime) etc. The article analyzes the modern text about the Great Patriotic War and plot changes that distinguish it from classical Soviet military prose, as well as metamorphoses of the characters that drastically transform the conventional genre. It is noted that targeting a modern reader, mainly young, leads to the transformation of a typical military plot beyond recognition, to the synthesis of military prose with fantasy, thriller, detective and even anime.

Previously unexplored texts that are indicative of the task of describing and solving the current scientific problem of genre transformations are introduced into literary circulation. The stories of modern authors are also examined in order to identify ways in which they implement the concept of national identity. The dependence of the role of intertext in the context of cross-cultural connections and the formation of a new concept of personality are stated.

Current processes and main trends of word-formation in modern English: social-individual aspects
The article actualizes the current processes in the language, which stimulate the upward trend in the development of modern English lexis and are associated with both socio-political and cultural changes as well as the growing needs of self-expression on the part of native speakers and users. Particular attention is paid to the most popular models of word-formation and new derivation schemes. The desire for brevity, creativity and metaphorization in the formation of neologisms, common or occasional vocabulary is emphasized. Adittionally, the study explores the rapid turn-ing neologisms into obsolete words, the adoption of retronims, the reconceptualization of certain phenomena through the use of corresponding lexical units, contamination, rethinking of tradition-al affixes. The novelty of the study lies in the schematization of second-and third-order derivatives and interviews with native speakers in order to identify new lexical units in their speech and socially and individually determined attitudes towards them.

Conceptualization of scientific knowledge in linguistic terminology
The article examines the problem of conceptualizing scientific knowledge in linguistic terminology within the framework of cognitive science. The idea is substantiated that the formation and functioning of linguistic terminology is determined by the presence and use of an international cognitive base, including international terms and other special concepts. The cognitive base is a structure for storing and using information accumulated in the process of evolution and human activity. The relevance of scientists' approach to this problem is determined by the need to study the term as a tool for describing and creating new linguistic knowledge. The purpose of the work is to develop a methodology for describing the concept sphere of modern linguistic terminology. The patterns and features of linguistic terminology identified during the study will serve as the basis for predicting further ways of the emergence of terms.

The language of the novel “Liebe Deinen Nachsten”:by E.M. Remarque: strategies for achieving translation equivalence
Based on the literary texts of the novel by E.M. Remarque, the authors conduct a functional anal-ysis of such means of expression as comparison, hyperbole, litotes and personification in the orig-inal language and the ways of their implementation in Russian translations. It is noted that when transforming a literary text into another language, the translator is required to create an analogue in another language, which is identical to the original in terms of speech impact on the listener and their reaction. It has been established that the noted means can be expressed by phonological, morphological, lexical and syntactic means. It is stated that the linguistic analysis of the original and its Russian translations made it possible to see the proposed methods for solving equivalence, the level of its reconstruction and the preservation of national coloring.

Features of portraying architectural and historical symbols in landscape painting of the Baikal region
The article uses a comparative analytical approach to conduct an art criticism analysis of land-scape works of the XIX and late XX centuries, made in the technique of watercolor painting by the Decembrist N.A. Bestuzhev and the fraternal artist G.A. Mamilov. The landscapes of the Decembrist N.A. Bestuzhev are dedicated to the image of the Petrovsky factory, located in Transbaikalia, where the exiled Decembrists served their sentences after the uprising on Senate Square in 1825. Based on the given context, the author introduces the concept of an architectural and historical symbol in the visual arts and describes the features of the image of the Petrovsky factory as a historical monument of architecture in comparison with the Baikal landscapes. The works of N.A. Bestuzhev are presented in the exhibitions of the Hermitage (St. Petersburg), the Fraternal City United Museum of the History of the development of Angara.
