THE GENRE ORIGINALITY OF N.V. GOGOL'S POEM "DEAD SOULS"
The article analyzes the genre originality of N.V. Gogol's poem "Dead Souls". The research investigates both the author's original intent and the historical context of genre attribution by Gogol and his contemporaries. Through the lens of contemporary literary theory, this analysis systematically categorizes the epic and lyrical components present in the work, thereby validating Gogol's unconventional genre designation. The specificity of the genre of "Dead Souls" is also determined in the composition and in the character of Chichikov. It is revealed that the compositional originality of Gogol's poem "Dead Souls" is determined by the internal connection of the system of images and lyrical digressions. The authors note that the epic element of "Dead Souls" is associated with the broad coverage of social reality and the image of Chichikov, and the poetic language of the text (saturation with artistic means of expression: metaphors, epithets, figurative comparisons) and the presence of lyrical digressions constitute the lyrical element of the poem.

DIFFERENCES IN THE INDICES OF AGGRESSIVENESS IN THE MEDIA SPACE OF EAST AND WEST: THE PARAVERBAL ASPECT OF EMOTIVE PERCEPTION
The authors consider the differences in the perception of aggression in the ethnolinguocultural traditions of Russia and China, which can cause dissonance in the recipient's distorted perception of media discourse not only because of the difference in interpretations of the phenomenon of conflict, but also because of the phonemic features of different structured languages. Phonemic features make it possible to identify paraverbal aggression indices in the media space, revealing an upward trend in the context of a linguistic information war of a hybrid type. The priority of communication activity in digital format predetermined the leading positions of the polycode presentation of information, as a result of which discriminatory behavior began to manifest itself in the polycode format, with audio and video presentations. The aggressology claimed by the authors considers the implementation of aggression at the verbal, auditory (paraverbal) and non-verbal hypertext polycode levels, respectively. Consideration of the paraverbal phonosemantic characteristics of aggression is associated with the recognition of aggression in speech, which is an important point for determining the boundaries of aggression.
